Much like The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim and other open-world story-driven games before it, Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of hilarious interactions for players to discover. Whether it's a player's first bar brawl or a random encounter with a grizzly bear, Red Dead Redemption 2 feels like it actively creates random moments for players to discover at any time.
Perhaps some of the funniest of these moments is interactions between the game's main character Arthur Morgan and other NPCs. Arthur has become famous in the gaming community as an incredibly well-liked character, even making appearances in other games; for example, a near-perfect copy of Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur can be found in WWE 2K22, allowing players to wrestle with the cowboy hero.
This popularity is in large part due to the talented acting of Roger Clark, who manages to bring the character to life through his masterful performance. The best of this is perhaps shown most strongly through Arthur's witty banter with other characters; lines like Red Dead Redemption 2's Arthur Morgan calling out a hiding NPC show the character to be sarcastic and dry, making for hilarious interactions. Recently, a player showcased some of Arthur's interactions with camp members when completely drunk.
The result of Reddit user FeNix_011's camera work are some of the funniest and downright inappropriate lines in the game. The clip shows Arthur walking up to camp members and slurring out some witty, sarcastic, and rude lines. The results are angry or creeped-out camp members, with the entire ordeal ending with a haymaker to the jaw by John Marston. Frankly, based on some of the scathing lines Arthur delivers, this was most likely a justified ending, and considering Red Dead Redemption 2 female NPCs can slap, it's surprising that a female camp member neglected to do so.
Arthur roasts a few camp members in FeNix_011's drunken crusade, but two of the most brutal are delivered to little Jack as well as Leopold Strauss. Jack is no stranger to Arthur's antics, with one Red Dead Redemption 2 clip showing Arthur throwing up on him, but being called a "slow burner" is certain to leave a bit of lasting damage. On the other hand, Arthur telling Leopold Strauss that he could sober anyone up is downright hilarious and potentially deserved.
While the best dialogue in the clip is a subjective matter, it would be hard to argue against any of them being funny, save for Arthur's creepy interaction with Karen Jones and her skirt. Regardless, FeNix_011's clip showcases the game's strong dialogue, which ranges from serious and awesome to completely hilarious in this case.
