A new update for Red Dead Online has arrived, and it brings some additional wildlife for players to face in the online multiplayer experience. An update earlier this September added the Legendary Shadow Buck, and this new update introduces two new Legendary animals for players to encounter in the wilds.

The game continues to expand on the rivalry between Harriet and Gus as part of the new Naturalist role added this past August. Players can either collect animal samples for Harriet in exchange for a reward, or hunt them down to be turned into pelts by Gus. Ever since it became available, the intense rivalry between the two characters has only widened.

The rift between the two characters grew when Legendary animals were added in the mix, which allow players to get special rewards from both paths. The latest update is adding two new Legendary Animals: the Legendary Snowflake Moose and the Legendary Knight Moose. The Snowflake Moose can be found on rainy nights near Barrow Lagoon, and the Knight Moose can be found during the day at the northern reaches of Kamassa River.

Finding, catching, or defeating Legendary animals in Red Dead Online is a challenge in itself, but there are rewards for doing so. Players who sedate and sample either Legendary Moose will obtain a "30-percent-off Weapon" offer, while players who hunt and turn their hides into Gus will gain 50 percent additional cash as well as two new garment sets. There are other items included in the update, some of which can players can unlock by logging in this week, including ten Fire, Poison, and Small Game Arrows each.

Players who link their Rockstar Games Social Club accounts to Prime Gaming can also get a Free Wilderness Camp, 6,000 Naturalist XP, Free Legendary Animal Pheromones (x5), and the Katata Coat in Red Dead Online by delivering a Legendary Katata Elk hide to Gus. The same players will get even more free items through October 19, including a Free Bear theme; an extra outfit, accessory, and emote; and 6,000 Club XP. They can also receive ten of the following food items: Gin, Brandy, Rum, Baked Beans, and Jolly Jack's.

Not long ago, another Red Dead Online update also added Legendary Bears to spice things up for players. Now the new update will be adding Legendary Moose for players to meet in the online game, and who knows what beasts will arrive in the Wild West next.

Red Dead Online is available on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
