Red Dead Online had the Blood Money update and it has added a currency to Rockstar Games' popular multiplayer title. This currency, Capitale, became required in getting ahold of some of the new content and items. Players interested in having a choice of the best gear available to them will need to earn some.

Fortunately, there are a variety of different ways to go about obtaining Capitale in Red Dead Online. There are certain farming methods that might work better than others, but players who do a mix of all of these activities will find they hoard up all the Capitale they need in a hurry.

Updated on May 8th, 2023 by Hodey Johns: Despite Red Dead Online not getting any additional content, the search for currency like Capitale is as high as ever. Especially since there won't be any new adjustments or updates, players can safely know what the best items in the game are for their playstyle. Some of those require the acquisition of Capitale. Understandably, when players are aware that certain pieces will be the best for them not just now but for forever, they're eager to go out and get the currency they need to buy their gear. This guide has been updated with a specific way of farming Capitale in addition to the generalized ways where Capitale might be earned.

Best Way To Earn Capitale

Red Dead Online Picking Up The Third Part Of The Railroad Contract
  • Complete The Railroad Contract Part 3 of 3.
  • Loot the body of the railroad director.
  • Repeat the mission.

Community-wide, it's accepted that the best way to get Capitale is to complete and redo the third part of The Railroad Contract from a Blood Money mission vendor. There are multiple stages to this mission, both of which involve killing two NPCs.

The second NPC killed, the railroad director, will always have some Capitale on his body, so do not run away before looting him. To reset the mission, enter Free Roam and the formerly completed mission will once again be available. This isn't one of the best story missions, but it's also not difficult or boring.

Other Capitale-Earning Options

The most consistent sources for Capitale are Crimes, Blood Money activities that can be accessed after speaking with Guido Martelli in Saint Denis. As many fans are sure to expect, Crimes center around participating in various illegal operations, and they appear as icons on the map once the aforementioned prerequisite has been met. These activities do not award Capitale directly but instead lead players to locations where it can be found.

Fans can loot Capitale from the myriad of bodies, chests, and stashes that they will encounter as they work on Crimes. It is thus recommended that players are very thorough with their looting when engaging with these Red Dead Online Blood Money missions, and fans that do not heed this advice may ultimately miss out on some Capitale. Do whatever strange thing it takes to win a duel and loot the body for Capitale.

Fans can use their Gold Bars to buy Capitale directly from a Fence. The exchange rate for this type of transaction is three Bars for 10 Capitale, and fans that have stockpiles of Gold may want to consider making a trade. Players can also earn Capitale by purchasing the Hired Gun Kit from a Fence.

What To Do With Capitale

Concerning what exactly is to be done with Capitale once it is earned, it can be used to unlock Opportunities, another type of mission featured in the Blood Money update. These missions come in three different difficulties, and the most challenging options cost a whopping 25 Capitale to enjoy.

Lobbies can be literal hell in the game, so prepare accordingly. These opportunities offer challenging missions but success yields some of the best rewards that the game has to offer. It takes a while to farm up the Capitale to play them but, when it is time to play an Opportunity, the rewards are lucrative.
