It seems fans of Red Dead Online are set to get something big next week, with Rockstar announcing today that a brand new update will be launching for the game. Few details have been announced just yet, but the studio has revealed the name of the add-on, which is officially titled Red Dead Online: Blood Money.

According to Rockstar, the free update will land on July 13, with the studio promising a new trailer and brand new details will hit the company's website tomorrow, July 7. In the meantime, players can access an array of in-game bonuses to celebrate its arrival, with Rockstar encouraging players to gear up for Red Dead Online's upcoming additions.

For one, players will be able to net double RDO$ and XP when participating in Showdown Mode and the game's Land of Opportunities co-operative missions. Both multiplayer activities will also have additional rewards to grab. Those who win any Showdown Mode will earn themselves 30% off an Ability Card Upgrade, knocking off a significant portion of the price. Moonshiners above rank 100 will even receive an additional discount for their win, getting 3 Gold Bars off any Moonshine Bar Theme. Meanwhile, players who conquer the "Kill Them, Each and Every One" mission in A Land of Opportunities will be rewarded with a free treasure map.

Red Dead Online players over rank 100 will get access to 50% off a select weapon too, while anyone who forks out for a weapon modification will be able to get 40% off a select revolver and 200 Express Revolver Ammo. In addition, weapon and pamphlet rank requirements at the Fence will be lifted for the week. There seems to be a lot for players to dive into before Blood Money releases, allowing players to pick up some new weapons on the cheap and net themselves some easy XP and cash.

In terms of what to expect from Blood Money, Rockstar has talked briefly before about its Summer update in the past, teasing that players will be able to rob camps and homesteads to make some money. The last major Red Dead Online update came earlier this year, with the addition of the Moonshiner role allowing players to run an underground bar. They had to brew their own alcohol and defend it against rivals, earning rewards in the process. It'll be interesting to see what Blood Money brings to the game and how it stacks up against Red Dead Online's other post-launch additions.

Red Dead Online is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
