The three missions that players are able to choose from are called Hostage to Fortune, The Bell Tolls, and Trial & Tribulation. Players who have been waiting for some action can finally jump in on some new missions thanks to this update.

When it comes to what the new Red Dead Online missions entail, Hostage to Fortune involves searching for a chief witness in a court case who has run off, tasking you with finding them before other bounty hunters do first. The second mission, The Bell Tolls, requires players to guard a train that is carrying some of the O'Driscoll Boys to the gallows. Lastly, Trial & Tribulation has players sneaking families out of Valentine after it has been taken hostage by a group of thugs that are terrorizing the town.

Despite the player count for Red Dead Online falling, these new missions will hopefully breathe some life back into the game. Red Dead Online has what it takes to be a truly great online experience, and it's unfortunate that it hasn't lived up to its incredible potential. However, there is still hope for the game to gain a second wind, and this new update will hopefully bring forth even more content and missions in the following months for players to enjoy.
