In the Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways DLC, the Elite Knife is an infinite Bonus Weapon. Once unlocked, players no longer need to worry about repairing the blade, as it is unbreakable. However, similar to Leon's quest for his infinite blade, Ada also has her own set of missions to complete in order to obtain the Elite Knife. Specifically, she must accomplish seven objectives to earn this valuable weapon.

This guide aims to assist RE4:Separate Ways fans in completing all of these quests, allowing them to acquire the infinite knife without any hassle.

How to Unlock the Elite Knife

To get the infinite knife (Elite) in Separate Ways, players will need to complete all seven Merchant Requests. This will unlock the bonus weapon in the Extras menu, which players can buy for 1,000 Challenge Points.

Since the Elite Knife is indestructible, players won’t need to repair it. However, they can still upgrade this weapon at the Merchant stops to achieve its Exclusive effect: Double Power. By maxing out the infinite blade, its damage increases by x2, making it the strongest melee weapon in the DLC. In the remake of Resident Evil 4, Leon earned a similar knife by destroying 16 clockwork castellans.

How to Equip the Infinite Knife

Once Ada completes all Requests in the game, the Elite Knife becomes accessible via the Extras menu. Players will first need to purchase the Elite Knife from the Bonus Weapons section. Next, they should interact with a typewriter and restore it from the Storage section.

Since Bonus Weapons don’t affect achievements, players can use the Elite Knife in their S+ rank playthrough as well. However, it's important to note that the run must be on a new save file, not NG+.

Elite Knife Stats

As one of the best melee options in the expansion, the Elite Knife comes with a base power of 0.55 and an attack speed of 1.20. However, since its indestructibility effect won’t block upgrades, players can max it out into a 2-power knife.

The good thing about Ada’s infinite blade is that it comes with the unbreakable effect. So, unlike the Primal Knife, players won’t have to spend an extra 260,000 Pesetas to make it unbreakable.

Resident Evil 4 Remake: Separate Ways DLC is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
