During its E3 2021 showcase, Razer revealed the updated Razer Blade 14, an ultra-lightweight yet powerful gaming laptop. Since 2011, when Razer launched the first Razer Blade, the company’s Blade gaming laptops have been available only with Intel mobile processors. This choice has led to countless accolades and awards for the Razer Blade, but many gamers prefer AMD over Intel and have requested that option for years.

The Razer Blade 14 will be the first Razer gaming laptop to come with an AMD processor. In developing the laptop, the gaming peripheral company seemed very focused on creating a truly immersive gaming experience and reducing the laptop’s form factor as much as possible while still providing all of the power and conveniences players need and expect from their gaming rigs.

Internally, Razer has stocked the new laptop with an unlocked AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU, a processor with 8 cores and 16 threads of Zen 3 mobile core performance that can clock up to 4.6GHz. This will reduce gaming latency and quickly render 3D graphics for a completely immersive gaming experience. When purchasing the new Razer Blade 14, gamers can choose between the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, 3070, or 3080 GPU, with up to 8GB of VRAM. Nvidia’s RTX 30 Series of graphics cards enable fast ray tracing, realistic lighting, reflections, shadows, and ambient occlusion.

In addition to the impressive internal technical specs, the Razer Blade 14 will also be the world’s thinnest gaming laptop, measuring a mere 0.66 inches thick and sporting a T6-grade aluminum chassis with a durable anodized finish. Players will have two options when it comes to the Razer Blade’s 14-inch screen: an FHD 144Hz or a QHD 165Hz. These numbers basically mean that games will look fantastic on Razer’s new gaming laptop with ultra fast display times.

Of course, a gaming laptop needs to have lots of ports for connecting gaming peripherals, such as the recently announced ultra-light Orochi V2 mouse. The Razer Blade 14 will have two USB 3.0 and two USB-C ports, as well as an HDMI 2.1 port that can output 4K up to 120Hz, and the laptop will also have Bluetooth, a built-in Wi-Fi receiver, and a 720p Windows Hello web camera. The attention to detail that Razer has put into the CPU, GPU, and screen also extends to the keyboard, audio quality, speakers, and battery, which will run for up to 12 hours.

The CPU and GPU combined will make the Razer Blade 14 the world’s most powerful gaming laptop currently on the market, and the form factor will make it the smallest. As for price and availability, the cost of the Razer Blade 14 starts at $1799, and it is already available for purchase from Razer’s website or other online retailers.

Razer Blade 14 is available now.
