Razer is revealing a new configuration of its Blade 15 Base model gaming laptop. The new edition of the Blade offers many of the same features as Razer's higher-end models, but at a more affordable price point.

Razer has certainly been releasing quite a few different products as of late. The gaming hardware and peripherals company is not only launching several new computers in time for the holiday season, but has also recently released a new Cyberpunk 2077-themed Viper mouse.

The Razer Blade 15 Base comes with the high-end gaming specs players have come to know the company for, like 16 gigs of DDR4 RAM and a 10th generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor should prove more than capable of heavy multitasking. In terms of GPU, the Blade 15 Base comes equipped with an NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. This, along with the 120Hz display, should come in handy for gamers who play Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, which features uncapped frame rates on PC. In addition to impressive visuals, the Razer laptop also boasts premium audio. The Blade 15 Base's THX® Spatial Audio speakers are designed to provide gamers with a more immersive sound experience.

Beyond the gaming laptop's internal hardware, the body of the Razer Blade 15 Base maintains the company's signature sleek look. The matte black body is made out of CNC-finished anodized aluminum, providing some much-needed durability. As with the other models, the Blade 15 Base's keyboard features Razer Chroma RGB. The company's proprietary lighting technology claims to be capable of matching up to nearly 17 million colors. Players can purchase the laptop for $1,499 online at Razer.com, or in-store at RazerStore and other retail locations.

With its latest addition, Razer appears to be aiming at getting more gamers to make the jump into PC gaming. The lower price point should be convincing enough for some to pull the trigger on getting a portable Razer, particularly when comparing it to the price of the company's recently announced Tomahawk compact gaming desktop. However, $1,499 is certainly a hefty amount to spend, especially when considering the widespread job loss due to the pandemic.

The Razer Blade 15 Base gaming laptop looks to be a solid investment for those looking for high-performance without the (super) high price tag. However, there are plenty of gamers who primarily play on console or just aren't fans of PC gaming. To that end, the company has actually come up with an answer - the Razer Book 13 Productivity Laptop.

The Razer Blade 15 Base model is available for pre-order now.
