The PC port of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the latest game to get review bombed, as some gamers are giving it poor scores online. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart came out on PS5 in June 2021, and it was one of the few next-gen only releases at the time.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was released on PC in July 2023, and it received positive reviews from critics at launch. The port was done by Nixxes Software, the same studio that handled the PC versions of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. While both Marvel's Spider-Man titles are generally considered to be good ports, the PC version of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is being review bombed by some players.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has a user score of just 4.3 on Metacritic at the time of this writing, a huge drop from its critic score of 88. Granted, only 14 reviews from crirics are listed on Metacritic at the moment, but the game's score is unlikely to get anywhere close to a 4.3. The PS5 version of Rift Apart also has a rating of 88 on Metacritic, but its user score is sitting at 8.5. Some gamers are giving the PC port of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart a score of 0, as it looks like the game is crashing for a lot of players.

Users have highlighted their specs in these reviews, so it appears that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart keeps crashing even on high-end gaming PCs. However, many of the accounts giving it a low score appear to be brand-new, as they have not posted a review for any other game on Metacritic. Conversely, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart has a rating of “Very Positive” on Steam, so it looks like the review bombing is only happening on Metacritic.

Many games have been subject to review bombing in 2023 for a variety of reasons including Diablo 4​​​, with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart being the latest entry to this list. It’ll be interesting to see if the user score of Rift Apart improves once more players get their hands on the game.

Nixxes Software recently released an update for the PC version of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with the aim of fixing bugs and some other issues experienced by the user base. The list of changes is fairly small, as the patch resolves texture streaming issues and a problem related to water reflections, among other improvements.
