Rainbow Six Siege's Year 7 is packed with plenty of new ways to experience the game between a new map and new game modes. The first competitive season of the year, titled 'Operation Demon Veil', will see the addition of the game's first new map in three years, the Emerald Plains. The map will see players battling it out in an Irish setting with matches taking place in a traditional Irish castle converted into a country club. Level designer Josam L Rene emphasized the team's focus on learnability, focusing on making the map "easy to learn" so players could acclimate to the new environment quickly.

Alongside the new map, Operation Demon Veil will also introduce a Team Deathmatch mode, with teams racing to rack up the most kills. The deathmatch will notably place no restrictions on players' choice of Operator or Loadout, however, Operator Unique Gadgets will be replaced with a choice of flash or impact grenades. The newest season will also add a highly requested feature in Attacker Repick, allowing players on the attacking side to change their choice in Operators based on their findings during the game's prep phase.

Rainbow Six Siege's newest season will also mark several smaller improvements for the game. The release of Azami will introduce improvements to the game's facial technology, bringing more detail to the game's Operators. Rainbow Six Siege players on console will also see the addition of Match Replay alongside a plethora of other small balance changes being made to the large cast of characters.

Rainbow Six Siege is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S
