During the game Raft, players will encounter many dangerous animals. There's the shark that always follows the raft, there are warthogs and screechers on islands, and by following the plot players will encounter bears, anglerfish, and boss animals like the Rhino Shark.

From many of these animals, Raft players can loot heads and other trophies. They can then wear these heads as cosmetic equipment, or they can recycle them by dropping them into biofuel refiners. However, players who want to decorate their rafts with trophies of their victories can mount both animal heads and regular fish on trophy boards.

How To Get Trophy Boards

Raft Trophies Craft Menu

When the game begins, the list of decorations players can build is short. To make this list grow, players need to collect the various barrels and crates that float on the ocean stream. These objects will sometimes drop "decoration packages," and by interacting with one, players will learn a random recipe for a decoration item. These packages also sometimes show up in crates found on land. Each package unlocks a new recipe, and once players know them all these packages will stop appearing.

The three trophy boards are found in decoration packages. The small board costs 2 planks and 2 nails, the medium board is 4 planks and 3 nails, and the large board is 6 planks and 3 nails. Players can only place trophy boards on vertical surfaces like walls and pillars, and only when there's enough space to fit the board. This means the trophy boards won't overlap each other or other wall decorations. Players can also paint trophy boards one or two colors.

What Fits On A Trophy Board?

Raft Fish Trophies

Trophy boards are very particular about which trophies players can place on them. Large trophies won't fit on smaller boards, and small trophies can't go on large boards. This means players will need to craft boards of every size if they want to display every possible trophy.

The small trophy board displays:

  • Pomfret
  • Herring
  • Tilapia

The medium trophy board displays:

  • Mackerel (it's a medium fish, but just barely too big for the small board)
  • Catfish
  • Salmon
  • Poison-Puffer Head

The large trophy board displays everything else:

  • Shark Head
  • Warthog Head
  • Screecher Head
  • White Screecher Head
  • Bear Head
  • Mama Bear Head
  • Polar Bear Head
  • Anglerfish Head
  • Hyena Head
  • Alpha's Head

There's also one more trophy players can collect from the Rhino Shark, but this trophy is too big to display on any board. Instead, players will need to clear off a 3x2 grid on their raft to fit this trophy. Players can mount it on a wall or ceiling, but the ceiling will need to be three stories up because this trophy is huge.

Raft is available now on PC.
