PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Season 7 arrives soon and it's set to bring back Vikendi with it. Vikendi hasn't spent its season-long break on the shelf, though. PUBG Corp. has overhauled Vikendi, completely reworking some areas and adding some interesting new features, too. The new Vikendi is officially back in PUBG's rotation, arriving alongside the new Survivor Pass: Cold Front. Cold Front, being Vikendi-themed, features a ton of new weapon skins and costumes for the colder climate.

The biggest changes to Vikendi come at its most memorable locations. Both the Dinopark, now named Dinoland, and Cosmodrome areas have been received a visual overhaul. Dinoland now features a Ferris wheel, as well as a museum hidden within the park's volcano. Additionally, PUBG has scoured the map of much of its snow to help with visibility frustrations. There's still plenty of wintery flair, but it won't be so oppressive anymore.

With a map that no longer has as much snow, it didn't make sense to keep Vikendi's snowmobiles or snowbikes. Those vehicles have been removed and others will spawn more frequently in-turn. To help with transportation, PUBG Corp. has added 9 different trains across the map with 12 different stations. Riding trains across Vikendi will an exciting new dynamic to the map.

As PUBG players win chicken dinners in Season 7 they'll progress through the new Survivor Pass and earn a bunch of new content. The Cold Front battle pass has all sorts of cosmetics, including warm clothes and even a Dinoland dinosaur outfit. The season pass will also unlock story about Vikendi tied to the Lindh family's plans for the island.

Unfortunately, Vikendi is available in PUBG just yet. Patch 7.1 will arrive on April 21 for PC and April 28 for console players. But the PC Test Server is running 7.1 right now if PUBG players want to try it out.

Season 7 of PUBG is set to run for 12 weeks, like previous seasons. That means Season 7 should last into mid-to-late July. Both patch 7.1 and the Cold Front season pass will launch alongside Season 7, ensuring a big wave of changes all on one update. The season pass, like those prior, will cost $9.99 on PC, or $14.99/1,000 in-game G-coin on PS4 and Xbox One. The Cold Front pass brings with it more than 400 missions, making it a must-buy for PUBG fanatics who continue to play.

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
