The latest update isn't just for balance. It also introduces a new mode called BR Extreme, which is a quicker version of the full game in New State. As opposed to lasting 100 minutes, now it's reduced to 64 and 20 minutes per round, and the playable area is smaller. This makes matches shorter, but adds more chaos. Since players may have a hard time adjusting to the new mode, here are some tips that will help them adapt and win matches more easily.

5 Find & Upgrade Weapons

This is essential for any battle royale. The guns in PUBG play a factor in the outcome — with weaker guns, players will have a hard time downing enemies, and will spend most of the time looking for a new gun or upgrades. But if players find strong weapons early on, things will get easier. There's a diverse range of weapons available across PUBG, and many of them are accessible through all the versions, so players can experiment with what weapon they like.

Finding a good weapon is only one half of the battle. Getting upgrades is just as important, because now players with a bigger mag or a better scope can quickly gain the advantage over other players. Those who balance fighting and looting will ultimately be kitted up enough to hold their ground in the end game.

4 Stock Up On Aid

Just like weapons, first aid is vital and should be high on the priority list. These items help the player survive much longer than just having a weapon. When players first land on PUBG: New State's map Troi, running for a building is always a good idea. Weapons, ammo, and armor are usually always near med packs, so taking them is a good idea. The player's health doesn't regenerate, and med packs often hard to come by as the match goes on, so players should nab a couple of them when they can.

On top of that, ammo and med packs can be stacked, so taking several bandages and a couple of first aid kits should help the player. Additionally, if players come across painkillers or energy drinks, those should be taken as well. While these are not as powerful as the first aid kits, they help the manage the player's damage, and can hold them over until they find bandages.

3 Squad Up

Battle royales get easier when players have teammates on their side, and PUBG: New State emphasizes that. Now, players don't have to worry about being that alert, since they have teammates sharing that responsibility. This tip can work for or against the player.

In a squad that works together well, players can will communicate and can be more tactile when planning out an attack, which makes life easier for everyone. Even when looting, players can communicate what they need and if the other players can supply that, everyone wins. Plus, a good teammate will always keep a lookout for what they are the squad needs.

However, this can work against the player in some situations. If two-thirds of the squad is downed, the last living player will have a much harder time fighting and getting them up again, since the match becomes a one-on-three or one-on-two. To combat this, PUBG: New State has a feature that allows players to save "Downed-But-Not-Out" enemy players to their own squad, which can help the chance players winning and give them a second wind if all goes south for them.

2 Collect Care Packages With Caution

In the BR mode in PUBG: New State, two care packages will drop at the start of each match. These are filled with goodies, that high-quality loot that players can get to early and dominate from the start. Going for these is a high-risk, high reward gambit. While doing this, players should take into account that the other 63 players have those care packages in mind. With the map being much smaller than the full version, more players can be seen going to it at once.

However, players who are a little more advanced can see this as an opportunity to get free kills. Most of the time, those care packages drop in open areas with no tree cover and no buildings in running distance. This allows players with a good shot and good sight to easily get early kills. They can then get the loot easier without having to worry about other players ambushing them. Not only does this make it easier to loot, it helps lower the player count. The fewer people playing, the easier players and their squad will have at winning the match.

1 Use Drones To Your Advantage

Drones are really useful in PUBG: New State because they add another a more tactical element to the gameplay. With them, players can see the area surrounding them all from the safety of distance. They allow players to get to buildings, see loot, and even plan out an attack beforehand. Plus, those playing solo can them utilize for scouting, and for getting to enemies faster.

One of the differences between the two modes is that in BR Extreme Mode, players are dropped in with 300 Drone Credits, which they can use at the Drone Store to purchase items that help players survive. This means that players already have a head start at getting a drone, if they choose to. THey can easily save up credits since they are scattered throughout the map, since drones cost 550 credits. The earlier the player gets them, the better they can pick off enemies faster.
