Sony's PS5 exclusive VR headset, the PS VR2, is set to launch on February 22, allowing current-gen gamers to experience 4K HDR visuals in virtual reality with triple-A games like Horizon Call of the Mountain. Being a successor to Sony's previous VR headset, PlayStation fans will no doubt have some questions about PS VR2.
That's where this post comes in. We're going to answer some of those questions and give out even more important info about the shiny, new headset.
How Much Does PS VR2 Cost?
The base PS VR2 headset (which comes with the VR2 Sense controller) will cost folks $549.99. Other bonuses will, of course, cost a little extra. Those that want a PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station will need to cough up $49.99.
There's also a bundle that goes for $599.99, and it includes a digital code for Horizon Call of the Mountain, a VR-exclusive title. Folks can save $10 by getting this bundle, as Call of the Mountain goes for $59.99 by itself.
Where Can I Buy PS VR2?
For some reason, it looks like the only way to preorder PS VR2 online is directly through PlayStation. Retailers might end up selling the VR system later on, but for now, going through the official site is your best bet. And the good news is that PlayStation offers free delivery for ore-orders, and they promise that it will be delivered sometime between launch day, February 22, and February 28, 2023.

Is PS VR2 Wireless?
One of the issues of the first VR headset from Sony was the abundance of wires and things that needed to be plugged in. While PS VR2 still requires wires, it's only one wire this time around, making it much easier to plug in and play without much hassle.
How Much Space Do You Need for It?
In Game ZXC's review of the PS VR2, we mention that "for room-scale experiences, the PS VR 2 is pretty demanding, requiring a 6’ 7” X 6’ 7” chunk of available space. But those with smaller rooms can carve out as big of a play area as possible and still get an enjoyable VR experience. It’s very easy to switch from standing VR to room-scale to seated VR as well, thanks to a quick settings menu that pops up anytime you press the options button. The headset even remembers the play area it created if using the same room."
How Long is the Cable
The cable is about the same length as 1.0 PS VR. The original was 4.4, while the new one is 4.5m.
Is PS VR2 Compatible with PS4 or PC?
Like Sony keeps telling people, the PS VR2 headset is built for the PS5 and the PS5 only. The headset is not officially supported to work on PC or PS4. Of course, one may expect a modder to figure it out via third-party software, but don't expect Sony to make it compatible itself.
How to Charge PS VR 2 Controllers
Since there are technically two controllers to use while playing with the headset, people will need to charge both controllers. The PS VR2 box includes a single USB-C cable to charge the controllers. Basically, it can be charged like any of the DualSense controllers.
