Just last week, Sony made a sudden and unexpected reveal of the DualSense, the upcoming PS5's official controller. While initial reactions were mixed, most fans have come to like the new controller's chunkier, two-color design, including Bethesda's Pete Hines.

Naturally, fans are comparing the PS5 controller to the earlier DualShock controllers and making some interesting comparisons. Probably the strangest comparison, though, was made by a Redditor who compared the evolution of the PlayStation controllers to Captain America.

Along with the reveal of the PS5 controller, Sony also shared some new details and features about the DualSense. The controller will come with its own built-in mic, meaning gamers won't have to go out and buy an expensive headset. If players want to use a headset they already have or just want to plug in some headphones, Sony confirmed that the DualSense does have a headphone jack. The controller even has a honk button, because sure, why not?

Of course, as interesting as all those features are, the main thing everyone is talking about is the aesthetic design of the controller. As previously mentioned, the DualSense boasts a bold two-color design, as opposed to the previous PlayStation controllers that have all been one solid color. There are also quite a few critics who say the new controller looks a lot more like an Xbox controller than a PlayStation. And then there's the Redditor who thinks it looks a lot like Captain America.

Reddit user sellera claims that the evolution of the PlayStation controller is very similar to the evolution of Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It sounds kind of ridiculous, but the comparison photos they posted side by side speak for themselves. Just like Steve Rogers, the DualShock controller started out as a scrawny little go-getter before eventually growing into the bulky broad-shouldered DualSense. The PS5 controller's two-color design even seems very similar to Captain America's Quantum Realm Suit in Avengers: Endgame.

Just like Captain America's Super Soldier Serum, the DualSense couldn't have been cheap to make. With the inclusion of new features such as haptic feedback, a built-in mic, and adaptive triggers, fans are now wondering, "How much will the PS5 controller cost?" That's hard to say, especially since the price of the PlayStation 5 itself hasn't been revealed yet. However, considering all the innovations coming to the DualSense, the controller is expected to cost between $75 to $80, slightly more expensive than the DualShock 4.

The PS5 is set to drop sometime this holiday season.
