Sony has added trophy support for another classic PSP game offered on its PlayStation Plus service. The company continues to provide new reasons to play classic PlayStation titles, at least for those who subscribe to the Premium tier of PS Plus. The games are often available to purchase individually, as well, for those players who aren't big on subscription services.

This is not the first time Sony has updated a PSP game to receive trophy support. Since the company revealed the PS Plus service in 2022, it has tweaked numerous games to make the classic experiences they offer more appealing to a modern audience. Recently, the Housemarque-developed shooter Super Stardust Portable received trophy support, and now another game has received that treatment.

A recent patch now provides trophy support for No Heroes Allowed. There are a total of 39 new trophies, counting the Platinum one. Those trophies reward players for completing tasks such as completing a particular in-game area, to accessing higher difficulty levels, to acquiring different items and creating various monsters. None of them look like they will occupy a place on any list of the most rewarding PlayStation trophies, but they're a welcome addition just the same.

No Heroes Allowed originally released on PSP in 2010. Developed by Acquire, a studio known for other releases such as Akiba's Trip and Tenchu (which its creator would like to help reboot on PS5), the niche strategy title puts the player in charge of a dungeon they must prevent heroes from invading. It is actually the third installment in the quirky series that began with What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord, which NIS America localized before Sony took over that responsibility. Additional installments followed, including a VR edition in October 2017. The continued support suggests Sony remains invested in the franchise.

PS Plus Premium offers a variety of games from all eras of PlayStation's history, with more games added each month. PS Plus Premium games added in January 2023 include Dragon Ball FighterZ, Hot Shots Golf 2, Life is Strange, and Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition, among others. It is clear Sony wants to reach gamers with a wide variety of interests. Trophy support for additional PSP games could be a good way to do that, in a time when many players feel a game isn't quite complete without the popular micro-rewards. It will be interesting to see what additional trophy support follows in the months to come.
