Super Stardust Portable, a PSP game available on PlayStation Plus Premium received an update that added support for trophies. Premium is the most expensive tier of the revamped PS Plus, and it comes with a few unique benefits not available in the other categories.

For starters, PS Plus Premium subscribers can take advantage of the time-limited trials feature, a new system that allows users to play select full games for a few hours. PS Plus Premium members can stream various PS3 titles at no extra cost, and they also get access to a selection of PS1, PS2, and PSP games. Subscribers should note that a PSP game, that got added to PS Plus Premium in 2022, now has full trophy support.

As reported by Push Square, Super Stardust Portable now features full support for trophies thanks to a new update. Super Stardust Portable was added to the PlayStation Plus Premium lineup in June 2022, and it’s one of the few PSP games available on the subscription service. According to Push Square, this event marks the first time a PlayStation Classic game has received trophy support post its launch on PS Plus. This news may pave the way for other PSP titles to get trophy support in the future, but fans should wait for an official confirmation from the developer or publisher.

Gamers can check out the full trophy list for Super Stardust Portable on PSNProfiles, which includes the highly sought-after platinum trophy. The rest of the trophies task users with playing through the various modes available in the game such as arcade, survival, and endless. For those unaware, Super Stardust Portable is an arcade shoot 'em up made by Housemarque, the developer of Resogun and Returnal. Housemarque was acquired by PlayStation in 2021 after a long history of exclusive titles including Matterfall and Alienation.

While there are hundreds of PS5 and PS4 titles available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers, the collection of classic games has been criticized due to its relatively weak lineup. Sony only adds a few classic games to PS Plus every month, with the Extra tier usually getting several more titles.

As an example, Sony added Hot Shots Golf 2, Star Wars Demolition, and Syphon Filter 3 to PS Plus Premium in January 2023, with all three being PS1 games. PS Plus Premium did get two PSP games in December 2022 as Pinball Heroes and Ridge Racer 2 joined the list, along with the PS1 title Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus.
