Sony is allegedly adding the 2009 video game adaptation of Disney Pixar's Up to PlayStation Plus Premium. PlayStation Plus Premium is the highest-tier of Sony's subscription service and gives users access to the Classic Games Catalog.

The Classic Games Catalog on Sony's PS Plus Premium tier lets subscribers play the games that were released for Sony's previous systems. As such, PS4 and PS5 users with a PS Plus Premium subscription can play games released for the PlayStation Portable, like Toy Story 3: The Video Game. While the catalog does have some hits absent, Sony is striving to add games to make its Classic Games Catalog more appealing to PlayStation users. One of these games could be the video game adaptation of Disney Pixar's 2009 animated film, Up.

According to Gematsu, Taiwan's ratings board rated the video game adaptation of Disney Pixar's Up for the PS4 and PS5 in the country. The publication also mentioned that the rating suggests Sony could soon add Up to PS Plus Premium, making it playable on current-gen consoles. However, Sony and THQ, the publisher of the 2009 game back then, have yet to formally confirm that the game is coming to the PS4 and PS5.

However, most people don't appear to be happy with Sony's alleged decision, as evidenced by their displeasure with it in the comments section of Gematsu's post. One comment stated that Sony needs to pick better games and that there are better PSP titles that are worth adding to PS Plus' classic games catalog than Disney's Up. A different comment from Reddit mentioned that the game was bad in their opinion, despite them playing it and enjoying one of the game's levels when they were a child.

Only time will tell if Sony does add Up to PS Plus Premium. Regardless, PS Plus subscribers, especially Premium ones, should take Gematsu's post with a grain of salt until Sony, THQ, or both announce that the game is coming to the subscription service's catalog. Subscribers should also note that the availability of the games in PS Plus' Classic Games Catalog varies by country/region, meaning that Up might be unavailable in some countries if the rumors are true.
