Highlights

  • MediEvil has leaked for PS Plus Premium.
  • Its trophy list seems to be identical to the 2019 game.
  • It's unclear when the game will be added to the service.

A recent leak suggests that the classic 1998 PlayStation 1 game MediEvil will be making its way to the Premium tier of the PlayStation Plus subscription service at some point in the near future. The Premium tier of PlayStation Plus gives subscribers the most bang for their buck. It grants them access to all the perks and benefits associated with PS Plus Essential and PS Plus Extra, on top of Premium-exclusive features.

The main selling point of PS Plus Premium is access to a variety of retro games from the PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP libraries. There have been all kinds of great PS1 games added to PS Plus Premium over the last couple of years, and it seems that there are even more on the way. A recent leak has potentially outed MediEvil as one of the next classic PS1 games to join the PS Plus Premium lineup, with the game's entire trophy list leaking online.

This was spotted by TrueTrophies, who noted that the MediEvil trophy list is identical to the trophy list from the MediEvil PS4 remake that released back in 2019. TrueTrophies also pointed out that the PS4 remake and the PSP reimagining are already available to PS Plus Premium subscribers. Even so, there are those who are nostalgic for the PS1 version of MediEvil specifically and will be happy to see it officially join the PS Plus Premium lineup, whenever that takes place.

As pointed out by TrueTrophies, MediEvil: Resurrection is already part of PS Plus Premium. A PSP reimagining of the PS1 original, MediEvil: Resurrection earned mixed reviews at the time of its original release. The PS1 version was better-received, so PS Plus Premium subscribers may want to give it a shot whenever it's added to the service.

It remains to be seen exactly when the PS1 version of MediEvil will join PS Plus Premium, but chances are good that it will happen sooner rather than later. The next PS Plus Premium update will likely take place on Tuesday, April 16, so there's a chance MediEvil will be a part of those additions. Alternatively, fans may have to wait a bit longer to see the original MediEvil join PS Plus Premium.

MediEvil isn't the only PS Plus Premium game to leak recently. Other leaks have suggested that Star Wars: Rebel Assault 2 - The Hidden Empire is also coming to PS Plus Premium, but that has yet to be officially announced.
