Those who are signed up for the most expensive tier of PlayStation Plus, the PS Plus Premium tier, now have a whopping 29 new games to check out. 25 of these games are also available to PlayStation Plus subscribers who are signed up for PS Plus Extra, but those willing to pay for Premium are really getting the most bang for their buck.

The base version of PlayStation Plus, PS Plus Essential, costs $59.99 per year and gets players multiple free games every month, exclusive discounts, and more. PS Plus Extra costs $99.99 per year and includes everything that PS Plus Essential comes with but adds a ton of PS4 and PS5 games to the mix. And finally, PS Plus Premium brings all that under a single umbrella and adds some retro games to help sweeten the pot.

Four of the new games added today are only available to those who are signed up for the PS Plus Premium tier. They come in the form of classic PSP shooter game Killzone: Liberation, Worms, PS1 game Herc's Adventure, and Coded Soul. The ability to play retro games is one of the main draws of PS Plus Premium, so it's always a treat to see which old-school games are being added to the library next.

PS Plus Premium may be getting even more features down the road for subscribers to look forward to as well. Sony has indicated that it plans on adding PS5 game streaming as a PS Plus Premium perk. That's unlikely to convince anyone new to sign up for PS Plus Premium, but it is a feature that could come in handy for those that are already signed up for the service.

If someone somehow can't find anything new to play with the latest PS Plus Premium additions, there's always next month's batch of games to look forward to, not to mention the free PS Plus games that Premium subscribers can claim for their digital libraries. It will be about a month before PS Plus subscribers know about the next wave of PS Plus Extra and Premium games, but the latest additions should keep them plenty busy in the meantime.
