Sony updates this list regularly, with new games coming to the catalog every month. Sony Unveils New Perk for PS Plus Premium Subscribers

Sony announces a new perk that may make PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers more accepting of the service’s recent price increase.

As reported by Push Square, trophies Ape Escape Academy and Kurushi Final: Mental Blocks have appeared on PSNProfiles, with both games offering a Platinum trophy as well. Players will be able to unlock trophies for performing certain in-game tasks such as clearing stages in Kurushi Final: Mental Blocks and playing mini-games in Ape Escape Academy, allowing fans to further increase their collection. It doesn’t seem like the other two games coming to PS Plus Premium, Tekken 6 and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny, will be getting trophy support when they are released.

Tekken Tag 6 Heihachi, Kazuya, and Jin

Recent additions to PS Plus Premium have featured trophy support, as the classic games for August 2023 all came with this feature. Gamers were able to unlock trophies for MediEvil: Resurrection, Ape Escape: On the Loose, and Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice, so October’s lineup appears to be breaking this trend. As Ape Escape Academy and Kurushi Final: Mental Blocks are Sony-published games, it makes sense for them to come with support for trophies. However, it doesn’t look like this feature is mandatory for third-party titles, as evident by the lack of trophies for Tekken 6 and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny.

This month’s PS Plus Extra and Premium games have already gone live in some regions, so subscribers now have a number of noteworthy games to try out. Additionally, PS Plus members across all three tiers can play the free monthly games for October 2023, giving them access to The Callisto Protocol, Farming Simulator 22, and Weird West at no extra cost. Overall, October seems to be a solid month for PS Plus subscribers, and it’ll be interesting to see how November’s lineup compares to this collection.
