Members in the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus can start earning trophies in another classic game, as Sony updates Echoshift to add trophy support. PS Plus Premium subscribers get a few bonuses on top of the catalog available to Extra members, such as the ability to download and play select PS1, PS2, and PSP games.

Sony releases many of these games with trophy support, allowing gamers to unlock trophies as they play these classics. It has also been adding this feature to other titles that came to PS Plus Premium earlier, such as No Heroes Allowed getting trophy support via a new update. Now, Sony has released a surprise update for Echoshift that adds support for trophies.

As reported by Push Square, PS Plus Premium members can unlock a total of 30 trophies in the PSP game Echoshift. Gamers can check out the full list on Exophase, and it even offers a platinum trophy for users interested in unlocking all of them. Many of the trophies for Echoshift will task players with completing level sets, key challenges, and illusion challenges, with other trophies requiring them to solve puzzles and perform various tasks.

Originally released in 2009, Echoshift is a puzzle game published by Sony for the PlayStation Portable. It received generally favorable reviews upon its launch with a score of 75 on Metacritic, although the user score is sitting a bit lower at 6.6. Echoshift was added to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in July 2022, but it was not a part of the lineup that was originally announced.

Sony is yet to reveal the library of games coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium in April 2023, but one game has already been added to the catalog as a surprise. Anodyne came to PS Plus Extra on April 4 as a bonus game, but its inclusion was not announced alongside the full lineup. Sony usually updates the Extra and Premium collections in the third week of the month, making Anodyne an exception to this practice.

As fans wait for the announcement of titles coming to Extra and Premium, the free monthly PS Plus games for April 2023 are available now to all subscribers. Gamers in all PS Plus tiers can now download Meet Your Maker, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and Tails of Iron at no extra cost, with Sackboy also offering a ton of DLC for free.
