Members in the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus can download trials for two new games, as Sony adds MLB The Show 23 and Disney Speedstorm to the list. Gamers in the Premium tier of PS Plus get some additional benefits, such as the ability to download and play a selection of PS1, PS2, and PSP titles.

Trials are a unique feature of PS Plus Premium, as they allow fans to try out games for a few hours without any extra cost. It should be noted that this feature lets subscribers play the current version of the game from the beginning, as opposed to a curated demo that may be from an earlier build. Now, Sony has added two more games to the list of trials available to PS Plus Premium members, including a recently released first-party title.

As reported by Push Square, users in the Premium tier of PS Plus can now download trials for MLB The Show 23 and Disney Speedstorm for three and two hours respectively. These additions are relatively new releases, as MLB The Show 23 came out on March 28, while Disney Speedstorm launched a feewks later on April 18. Players should note that this countdown starts as soon as they start the game, requiring them to close the application from the PS5 home menu to stop the timer.

While two to three hours of gameplay for Disney Speedstorm and MLB The Show 23 may not seem that long, it’s probably enough to give users a general idea of the gameplay mechanics and features offered by the games. PlayStation Plus Premium members can then choose to make a purchase-related decision after getting hands-on experience with the titles.

The duration of the trial offered by PS Plus Premium varies, and it appears to be largely dependent upon the genre. Massive RPGs like Cyberpunk 2077 and Persona 5 Royal offer lengthy trials, while some titles like Gotham Knights only give an hour of free gameplay. In general, most titles appear to have trials that last for two to three hours, which seems to be true in this case as well.

Sony recently added another trial for a new game to PS Plus Premium, as subscribers can now play DE-EXIT - Eternal Matters at no extra cost. However, unlike MLB The Show 23 and Disney Speedstorm, the trail for DE-EXIT - Eternal Matters only lasts for an hour, giving users a fairly limited time to form an opinion.
