Sony's Days of Play event is only a couple of days away from kick-off, a limited-time celebration of everything PlayStation with a range of discounts on selected PS4 and PS5 games, exclusive prizes to win such as PS4 themes and avatars, and a free multiplayer weekend.
On top of that, the next month of PlayStation Plus free games should be announced in the next couple of days, so here's our complete PS Plus free games wish list for June 2021.
Dreams
Developed by first-party PlayStation studio Media Molecule, Dreams is a game about creating games, similar to Little Big Planet (another Media Molecule developed series) and Project Spark for the Xbox 360. To help players get a feel for how to play, Dreams does come with its own built-in story mode called Art's Dream, but the main idea is to create content and play other user-created content whether it be games, music, art, or anything else the imagination can conjure up. One particularly creative video came from the Podcast/YouTube group Kinda Funny Games, who alongside the user Team Pig Detective, produced a video essay about the game and animated an entire character in Dreams.
Dreams is one of those games that unfortunately came and went very quickly and one that could greatly benefit from a little more time in the spotlight and an expansive new audience of players. Just like Bugsnax, Maneater, Control: Ultimate Edition, and this months release of Wreckfest, the ideal scenario would be for Dreams to get re-released on PS5 with new content and features and given away on PlayStation Plus. And considering Concrete Genie, another first-party PS4 game that wasn't much older, was on PS Plus only a few months ago, it's not out of the realm of possibility for Dreams to be next.

Batman: Return to Arkham
When PlayStation 4 and Xbox One first released, the early years were flooded with remastered versions of older games due to the lack of backward compatibility options on the new hardware. Although it took a couple of years longer than expected, WB Games partnered with Virtuos (co-developers of Bioshock: The Collection on Nintendo Switch) to finally bring Batman: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City to the new consoles in 2016. Batman: Return to Arkham saw both games integrated into Unreal Engine 4 with upgraded graphics, character models, environments, lighting, visual effects, and more, as well as all previously released content.
While releasing Batman: Arkham Collection might be unrealistic considering that it's an optional package of games with different SKU's, Return to Arkham is just like BioShock: The Collection, Spyro: Reignited Trilogy or any other remastered collection. With Batman: Arkham Knight already available to PlayStation 5 owners through the PS Plus Collection (not to mention, its been given away on PS Plus before), Batman: Return to Arkham would be a perfect fit, completing the trilogy of games in preparation for the release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League - one of the most anticipated games of 2022.

The Last Campfire
Most people would only know Hello Games as the developer of No Man's Sky, one of the greatest comeback stories in video game history and an all-around excellent sci-fi adventure. Few might know the British developer first made a name for itself many years before with its racing and platformer series Joe Danger, and it continues to work on other games including an unannounced new game in development right now. In fact, it was only last year that Hello Games released a wonderful little puzzle-adventure game called The Last Campfire in between updates for No Man's Sky, and it's one game that could be great for PlayStation Plus.
The Last Campfire was developed by a three-person team within Hello Games and released on Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Apple Arcade in August 2020. The player takes on the role of a lost soul called Ember who must solve environmental puzzles to help other lost souls find their purpose again in a story inspired by old folk tales and storybooks, and beautifully narrated by Rachel August. Hello Games refers to The Last Campfire as a Hello Games Short and compares it to short films created by the beloved Pixar Animation Studios.
The Last Campfire is available now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and iOS.
Don't Forget to Pick Up the May Monthly Games
Next months PlayStation Plus lineup of games is likely to be announced on Tuesday and made available to active subscribers from the first of June. For subscribers that haven't picked up any of the free games for the month of May, there's a little over a week left to grab the brand new PlayStation 5 version of Wreckfest, as well as Battlefield V and Stranded Deep for PlayStation 4.
PlayStation Plus members receive a selection of free games on the first Tuesday of every month.
