Sony is expected to reveal the PS Plus free games for May 2023 on April 26, with the new titles replacing the current games on May 2. Fans have until that time to claim the PS Plus free games for April 2023, which include Meet Your Maker, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and Tails of Iron.

A day one multiplayer game, an exclusive platforming title, and an indie soulslike make the PS Plus free games for April 2023 some of the best made available so far this year, but of course, more is on the horizon. It'll be interesting to see how May compares to April, but either way, there will be new games to claim then. It's impossible to predict what these titles will be, but here are some that would make great additions to the PS Plus service, whether it's this May or later in some cases.

PS Plus Free Game for May 2023: No Man's Sky (PS5/PS4)

no-mans-sky-character

No Man's Sky is one of the best open-world games on PS5 (and other platforms) thanks to Hello Games' constant updates. Not only is the procedurally generated universe of No Man's Sky theoretically infinite, but it is also incredibly dense with features, exploration elements, and survival gameplay. It's definitely something PS Plus subscribers could get lost in for hours.

PS Plus Free Game for May 2023: Resident Evil 2 (PS5/PS4)

Resident Evil 2 (2019)-1

Fans are delving into the most recent remade adventure of Leon Kennedy, but the high bar set for the Resident Evil 4 Remake came from the RE2 Remake. As fans finish up the former, many may want to dive into Resident Evil 2 to experience Raccoon City all over again. Comparing the two titles is definitely something RE fans should do, as it's clear how much Capcom continues to push the envelope. Capcom and Sony have a solid relationship when it comes to PS Plus, with many of the original games appearing on the service over the years. It may be time for that relationship to start expanding on the recent remakes, since RE2 dropped in 2019.

PS Plus Free Game for May 2023: Weird West (PS4)

Eagle against Weird West Backdrop

If the scope or scale of No Man's Sky or Resident Evil 2 is too much, fines may enjoy Weird West's more intimate adventure. In this game, players take on the role of five different characters in a top-down action RPG, one that features randomized elements in each playthrough and tells a compelling story that connects the five outlandish characters of Weird West. They include Jane Bell, the simple western Bounty Hunter; The Pigman, who is exactly what he sounds like with a cultish story and satisfying combat tactics; Across Rivers, the Protector, a Native American man capable of summoning bears, tornadoes, and more; Dezi, the Werewolf, whose abilities are survivalist in nature; and Constance, the Oneirist, whose magic abilities like her create copies and so on.

ps plus extra and premium massive discount

  • PS5: Lost Judgment
  • PS4: Dead Island: Definitive Edition, God of War 3
  • PS3: Yakuza: Dead Souls
  • PSP: Jak and Daxter: The Last Frontier
