PlayStation Plus subscribers in some regions will get a bonus free game this month. PS Plus users get free games every month as a part of the subscription service, and gamers can keep playing these titles for as long as they are a member. The list of free games usually leaks before the official confirmation, and February 2023 was no exception.

Sony confirmed the leaks to be true, as PS Plus subscribers will get Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Evil Dead: The Game, Mafia: The Definitive Edition, and OlliOlli World in February 2023. Members usually get three games each month but Sony is offering four in February 2023, with one being an expansion. PS Plus users in some regions are getting a bonus game this month, making an already solid lineup even better.

It’s now confirmed that PlayStation Plus subscribers in Asian regions will also get Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris in addition to Beyond Light, Mafia, Evil Dead, and OlliOlli World, resulting in a total of five free monthly games in February 2023. Alicization Lycoris joins the PS Plus lineup on the same as members can start playing it from February 7. Fans should note that Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris does not have a native PS5 version, so players will have to make do with the PS4 release.

Even though Alicization Lycoris is available in other regions, only members with an Asian PS Plus account will get it at no extra cost. This practice is fairly common, as users in some regions can sometimes get additional games, or even completely different ones, in a given month. As an example, PS Plus subscribers in Asia received two extra games in October 2022 as Rogue Explorer and Crisis Wing were added to the lineup.

While Sony has revealed the PS Plus free monthly games for February 2023, the lineups for the Extra and Premium tiers have yet to be announced. PS Plus members in these tiers have access to a catalog of hundreds of PS5 and PS4 games, and Sony adds more games to this collection every month. Games leave PS Plus Extra regularly as well, with titles like Metro Exodus and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – The Definitive Edition going away in February 2023. It should be noted that unlike the free monthly games available in all three tiers, users will lose access to titles in the Extra and Premium categories once they leave PS Plus.
