Sony has officially announced the extensive list of PS Plus Extra and Premium titles joining the service on August 15 and thereafter. Included on this list are two day-one games for PS Plus: Sea of Stars, which will launch on its August 29 release date, and Moving Out 2 which will join alongside the others on August 15.

A quick glimpse at this PS Plus list shows just how varied the month's selection is. There are a couple of kid-friendly games like PJ Masks and Hotel Transylvania, some more intensive titles like Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, and a representation of a wide swath of genres. Given that some are likely disappointed in the PS Plus free games for August 2023, which include Death's Door, Dreams, and PGA Tour 2K23, this line-up is looking pretty great to fill out the month.

Coming to PS Plus Extra on August 15 is Moving Out 2, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Lost Judgment, Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed, Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition, Source of Madness, Cursed to Golf, Dreams, PJ Masks: Heroes of the Night, Hotel Transylvania: Scary Tale Adventures, Lawn Mowing Simulator, Spellforce 3 Reforced, and Midnight Fight Express. Sea of Stars is an exception to the "all on the same day rule," but fans can rest assured they'll get it on its proper release date. Rounding out the additions is the PS Plus Premium titles: MediEvil: Resurrection, Ape Escape: On the Loose, and Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice.

Sea of Stars and Moving Out 2 are exciting day one additions for PS Plus. Sea of Stars is a tactical RPG with a flare for the retro, joining a long list of TRPGs just this year alone. Meanwhile, Moving Out 2 is a fun and frenetic co-op moving game that improves upon the elements of the original. While PS Plus doesn't have day one games as often as Xbox Game Pass, it's hard to argue with its selection.

In total, across PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium catalogs, fans are getting 20 games this month. Chances are, there's something here they like, but if not, then fans can expect just as many games to join in September to continuously prove just how great the service is.
