Following their recent reveal, Sony added a total of 15 games to its PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs, with 4 joining the latter and the rest joining the former. While there's a nice mixture of games, there are some solid PS Plus horror games for Halloween, including Alien: Isolation, House of Ashes, and Outlast 2.

While neither Sony nor Microsoft commit to holidays or seasons every year, Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus both celebrate Halloween in their own ways. Xbox Game Pass is adding the Dead Space remake on October 26 (via EA Play), which perhaps puts its position as quality over quantity since it's really the one, but PS Plus across Essential, Extra, and Premium is giving fans the aforementioned titles, Dead Space spiritual successor Callisto Protocol, and a handful of horror-adjacent games like Dead Island.

The constant comings and goings of PS Plus means fans who aren't necessarily happy with this month can look forward to a different selection of games next month. While the PS Plus Extra and Premium games for November are a couple of weeks away from reveal and a month away from their addition, the PS Plus Essential Tier is up next.

Fans can expect Sony to reveal the PS Plus free games for November 2023 on November 1, with their release coming on November 7. Typically, it's the last Wednesday of a month and first Tuesday of a month for its reveal-release pattern, but this month ends on a Tuesday, making it a bit odd. However, because the PS Plus free games for October are listed as leaving on November 7, fans can expect it to work out this way.

PS Plus subscribers get a handful of games every month.
