The file sizes of the games coming to the Extra tier of PlayStation Plus in October 2023 have been revealed. PS Plus Extra users get a number of games every month as a part of their subscription service, with members in the Premium tier also getting access to this catalog.
Sony recently revealed that PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will get some notable games to play in October 2023 at no extra cost. This list includes Gotham Knights, Alien: Isolation, Disco Elysium – The Final Cut, Dead Island Definitive Edition, and more, with Premium users getting to play Tekken 6 and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny among others. Now, the file sizes of these games have been revealed, giving players a better idea about their storage requirements.
Sony Unveils New Perk for PS Plus Premium Subscribers
Sony announces a new perk that may make PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers more accepting of the service’s recent price increase.
Gotham Knights is among the most noteworthy games on this list, and players will need 43.476 GB of space to install it on their PS5 consoles. Disco Elysium – The Final Cut will take up 16.167 GB on PS4, but its PS5 version requires just 8.626 GB of storage. The file size of The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes is similarly way bigger on PS4, as gamers will need to free up 56 GB to install the previous generation version. By comparison, its PS5 counterpart takes up around half as much storage, as players need 29.364 GB of space to download it.
Gungrave G.O.R.E. requires 29.878 GB and 31.702 GB on PS4 and PS5 respectively, while Outlast 2 needs 21.340 GB of storage space. Fans will need to free up 20.103 GB to install Alien: Isolation, and Dead Island Definitive Edition will utilize 7.169 GB of space. Elite Dangerous will take up 35.740 GB of storage, but the rest of the games coming to the Extra tier of PS Plus are fairly small.
Eldest Souls will need 865 MB of space on PS5, while FAR: Changing Tides requires 1.208 GB of storage. Finally, the PS5 and PS4 versions of Roki will take up 1.271 GB and 2.084 GB respectively. It should be noted that this list doesn’t include the PS Plus Premium lineup for October 2023, so fans will have to wait for them to come out for more information.
While the Extra and Premium games will be playable from October 17, the PS Plus free monthly games are now available to subscribers. Members in all three tiers can now play The Callisto Protocol, Farming Simulator 22, and Weird West, and they will retain access to these games for as long as they are a member of PS Plus.
