People Can Fly has been incredibly busy these past few years. Not only did it recently release Outriders, its first new IP since it spun off from Epic Games, but it has continually expanded this year by hiring Phosphor Games and turning it into PCF Chicago, acquiring Game On, and more. In the games department, Outriders recently received its New Horizon update and announced its forthcoming Worldslayer Expansion, and that’s still just the beginning.

Beyond Outriders, People Can Fly has three major projects confirmed to be in development: Project Dagger led by its New York studio in conjunction with Take-Two Interactive, Project Gemini led by its European studios in conjunction with Square Enix, and a self-published project. Recently, Game ZXC sat down with PCF CEO Sebastian Wojciechowski, PCF Canada’s Sam Girardin, and PCF New York’s Roland Lesterlin, who is the Project Dagger director. As such, we couldn’t help but inquire after Project Dagger.

Of course, with the game set for 2024, there’s not much People Can Fly or Lesterlin could really share. It’s publicly known that Dagger is an action-adventure game, which is interesting given PCF’s strong shooter background. What Lesterlin could say though is that People Can Fly has a lot of knowledge and talent under its belt, with everyone dedicated to “high quality games across the board.” Lesterlin loves new IPs and big games, something he considers part of his DNA and is obviously in the DNA of People Can Fly.

Despite this action-adventure title perhaps being a departure from the company’s norms, or perhaps because of this, Lesterlin said he thinks they’ll “surprise people, and I think it’s going to be an exciting game once we, one day, get to actually talk about it.” With Dagger and Gemini both set for release in 2024 and the self-published project being the newest of the bunch, we also asked CEO Wojciechowski if that’s the next time fans could expect any new PCF content.

Of course, there’s Outriders with both PCF and Square Enix dedicated to building it into a strong franchise. But beyond just that and the aforementioned projects, Wojciechowski mentioned that PCF is “working on a couple of other projects…we are always exploring different ways to come up with new ideas for all our fans around the world.” Worldslayer will obviously land before 2024, and who knows what else might come of PCF between now and then. With all the momentum the company has had this year, it’s only looking up.

People Can Fly is working on Outriders, Project Dagger, Project Gemini, and a new self-published project.
