A great way to get players to explore all corners of a map is to give them the incentive to do so, and in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, there are several side quests that will send players off in different directions to seek out important items or to complete specific tasks.

The Motherly Love quest is all about getting revenge for a grieving parent who just so happens to have lost several of her children to the dangers of the Catacombs. This will not stand, and for players hoping to lend a helping hand, this guide will serve as a useful companion to do just that.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Review

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is an excellent Metroidvania and one of the best Prince of Persia games to date.

Completing the Motherly Love Quest in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown

The earliest players can get to this quest is after the fight with Vahram, where Sargon is sent falling into The Depths. From that starting location, move towards the right and keep trying to head upwards. Eventually, that will lead players to a corner where the OId Woman resides.

Speak to her, and she will share that many of her children have been killed by Erlik. While Sargon has previously vanquished a boss of the same name earlier, this is another enemy she is talking about. Accept the quest, and continue exploring The Depths.

It will still take some time before this task can be completed because Sargon will have to possess the ability to air dash and leave a clone behind first. Keep progressing the main quest until those Simurgh Feathers are obtained, and return to The Depths. This time, head left from the area where Sargon first fell into the area and head up the slopes.

This will lead to an arena on the left, where the Undead Erlik responsible for the tragedy is lying in wait.

Similar to the earlier Erlik fight, this foe is fond of using its tusks and charging andspewing poisonous projectiles at Sargon. It is a much tougher version of the boss and is more aggressive. Be sure to master the parrying timing and dodge when the unavoidable attacks come, and use any new Athra powers to make the fight much easier.

After defeating the Undead Erlik, Sargon will be approached by the Old Woman when attempting to leave the arena. However, she turns out to be a Crawler in disguise, a dangerous and agile enemy that can be a handful.

Indomitable Spirit Prince of Persia

Defeat it using whichever way you fancy, and that will end the quest. The rewards for completing it will be a bunch of Time Crystals as well as a new amulet.

The Indomitable Spirit will moderately increase the power of all melee attacks when health is low.
