There are indeed many different sights and sounds that can be found on Mount Qaf in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and like any good Metroidvania, not everything is accessible or evident when players first come across them.

Locked gates, seemingly indestructible walls, and hidden walls are all part of the fun, and there are also a bunch of environmental puzzles that require a little more thinking to solve. For players needing some help when it comes to the hidden chest puzzle in the Pit of Eternal Sands, this guide will point you in the right direction.

Where is the Hidden Chest Puzzle in the Pit of Eternal Sands in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown?

The area in question will be visited by players about three-quarters of the way through the campaign, where they will have to hunt down the dangerous Azdaha as part of the Darkest of Souls quest. The Pit of Eternal Sands is a biome teeming with danger, as enemies can come out from the sand and hit really hard, so it is wise to proceed with caution.

To get to the boss, there will be a need to destroy several giant seals that are in the area. This will eventually lead players to a location with a Wak-Wak Tree and Homa Statue that can be used for fast travel on the right side. Below is the path to the hidden chest puzzle.

Follow the path to the southwest, and it will lead to a large room with two imposing statues and a platform in the middle that Sargon can drop through to reach the small alcove below. Anytime players are detected in the area immediately above it, two trap pillars will appear from the left and right and smash anything caught in between. This is the key to solving the puzzle.

Look at the statues to the back, and you will notice they are of a certain enemy that can be commonly found in the Upper City. Backtrack to that area and try to capture one of these enemies using the Dimensional Claw. Once you have one in your possession, head back to the hidden chest puzzle. Next, throw out the enemy to trigger the pillar trap, and once it's dead, the treasure chest will appear.

For the effort and smart thinking, Sargon will walk away with a Soma Tree Petal, a key ingredient in increasing his maximum health.
