Last year, Power Rangers received its own tabletop game for die-hard fans of the series to enjoy, titled Heroes of the Grid, which has continued to receive support since then, with it even getting a new update soon that adds two villainous henchmen from the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers show.

Anyone who enjoys the game, courtesy of Renegade Game Studios, will be pleased to hear then that it is continuing its working relationship with Hasbro for the foreseeable future and currently working on a Power Rangers iteration of Dungeons and Dragons.

It has been more specifically described as a Power Rangers role-playing game, which will be compatible with the Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition rule set. No exact details or release date has been shared, but fans will still have the aforementioned Heroes of the Grid, a brand-new deck-building game that's currently scheduled to release in 2021, and the upcoming physical release of fighting game Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid in October, which is still receiving new content.

Power Rangers isn't the only Hasbro franchise benefitting from the deal either. While, again, details are still incredibly vague, Renegade Game Studios aims to create tabletop and other such games based on the likes of Transformers, G.I. Joe, and even My Little Pony.

Scott Gaeta, president and publisher at Renegade Game Studios says:

"Hasbro has brought so much joy to fans through these worlds filled with rich narratives and iconic characters. We are excited to expand our relationship with Hasbro to help bring these stories to hobby tabletops in a new way."

He also explained why they will be using 5th Edition as the basis rather than craft entirely new systems:

"We want to use the system that’s most common and widely known. 5th Edition at this point is the common language in RPGs. We went back and forth on our discussions but we landed on 5th Edition being what we wanted to use to achieve our design goals."

He adds that this will allow franchise crossovers as well, saying that there'd be nothing stopping players from crafting their own Transformers/G.I. Joe crossover campaign.

As for the Power Rangers show, the newest season, Power Rangers: Dino Fury, is set to air in 2021 and will feature the return of the Dinozords, which have frequently appeared throughout the franchise.

The Power Rangers tabletop role-playing game is currently in development.
