There are many different types of Pokemon found throughout the decades of Pokemon games. One example is Water-type Pokemon. As this name suggests, these pocket monsters often have an affinity for water and sometimes have designs inspired by aquatic wildlife. One of the more unique of these water-themed designs belongs to Wooper.

As one of the more unusual-looking Pokemon in the series, Wooper has quite an iconic appearance. First introduced in Gen 2, it is a Water/Ground-type Pokemon that features a blue bipedal body with three dark blue stripes across its midsection. However, its defining feature is its pair of purple gills on the sides of its head. In addition, it is worth noting that Wooper can evolve into Quagsire. Recently, one artistic fan decided to pay homage to this unique species of Pokemon in an equally unique way.

Going on Reddit, one user known as PaulDrawsArt showcased a recent Pokemon drawing they had created. However, this was no ordinary piece of fan art as the artist had managed to add a Wooper Pokemon to the drawing every day for the last 165 days. They shared a video on Reddit that showcased the work. In the clip, Wooper could be seen populating the screen until the picture was filled with the Water-type Pokemon.

Impressively, PaulDrawsArt did not just draw the same Wooper design over and over again. Rather, they gave each Wooper a different expression and look. On top of the myriad Wooper designs, the artist included several other Pokemon in the drawing for keen-eyed fans to try and spot, such as Ditto. At the end of the video, they even added color to the drawing to finish off the design.

It has not taken long for members of the Pokemon community to comment on the design of this Wooper drawing made by PaulDrawsArt. With over 23K upvotes in less than a day, many were impressed by the dedication of the artist. In addition, many liked the various designs the artist gave the Wooper in the artwork. For example, one of them was wearing sunglasses. “This may be one of the cutest things I’ve seen in my life,” Toothless1886 said on Reddit.

It will be interesting to see what PaulDrawsArt decides to make next. One thing is for sure; there is no shortage of options to choose from as there are around 900 species of Pokemon in the franchise. Maybe they will attempt to draw another picture featuring Water-type Pokemon over the next 165 days. Or perhaps they will choose to go another route and make artwork based on other types of Pokemon in the series. Regardless, the sky seems to be the limit for talented artists like PaulDrawsArt.
