Every generation introduces new kinds of Pokemon, and with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players are introduced to the paradox Pokemon. These creatures come from a different era, and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's plot involves ensuring that they do not flood into Paldea and destroy it. One of the paradox Pokemon to keep an eye on is Iron Bundle, as it holds the honor of being the fastest of the new lot of critters.

It is quite strange that Iron Bundle is the fastest, especially because there are other creatures, like Koraidon, Miraidon, and Revavroom, that have designs that suggest speed more than Iron Bundle's. Furthermore, Delibird, which Iron Bundle is based on, is not an impressive Pokemon. Hence, it is unexpected to see its future form pack impressive stats, even when compared to fellow paradox Pokemon.

Iron Bundle the Paradox Pokemon

Iron Bundle found exclusively on Pokemon Violet

In Scarlet and Violet, gamers discover Pokemon that are either from the past or the future, depending on what version they're playing. These creatures are more powerful than regular Pokemon, and they can be found in Area Zero. Although all paradox Pokemon are a force to be reckoned with, they are not all equal, and some are stronger than others. Hence, creatures like Flutter Mane and Roaring Moon are finding more use than others.

Iron Bundle is the future form of Delibird. For the most part, Delibird is a pretty underwhelming Pokemon. It has dismal stats across the board, which makes it hard to use competitively. Nevertheless, it is quite cute, which makes it a creature worth catching. One would be forgiven for believing that its paradox Pokemon form, Iron Bundle, is equally underwhelming. However, it defies expectations and shoots to the top of the leaderboard as the fastest Pokemon introduced in generation 9. It also has high Special Attack stats, which allows it to strike hard and fast. Speed is a huge advantage to have competitively, as it allows a Trainer to set up a strategy first, or knock out a troublesome opponent before it has a chance to strike. Iron Bundle's achievement is exceptionally impressive if one considers the competition it is up against.

The Fastest Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet

Iron Bundle, looking entirely unassuming, has a Speed stat of 136. This makes it faster than the main legendaries, Koraidon and Miraidon, which both have a Speed stat of 135. One would expect the legendaries to be faster because they are themed around bikes and players use them to zip around Paldea. Iron Bundle gets to be the fastest paradox Pokemon, beating Flutter Mane, which is the second-fastest paradox Pokemon. It is the past form of Misdreavus, and it has a Speed stat of 135.

In perhaps the most ironic twist, it is also faster than Revavroom, the final creature in the Varoom evolutionary line. All the critters look like engines, so naturally, one would guess that Revavroom is fast. However, the opposite is true, and Revavroom is a rather slow Pokemon with a signature move called Spin Out that lowers its Speed stat even further. Though Iron Bundle out-speeds all gen 9's Pokemon, there are still creatures from prior generations that leave it in the dust, including Electrode which has a Speed stat of 150.

The paradox Pokemon bring an interesting twist to competitive battles, and they tie into Scarlet and Violet's main story with Arven in a meaningful way. Although there are a couple of questionable choices, it has also helped otherwise neglected Pokemon like Delibird and Misdreavus receive more attention. If the leaks that Scarlet and Violet DLC is coming are true, it could be a chance for more paradox Pokemon to be introduced.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available on Nintendo Switch.
