The next update to Pokemon Unite will bring an iconic legendary from one of Sword and Shield's expansions to the MOBA, the Wushu Pokemon Urshifu. The Pokemon MOBA developed by TiMi Studios has frequently brought new creatures to the game's roster from throughout the monster-catching franchise's history. The game has consistently added multiple new Pokemon each month with recent updates bringing fan-favorite Pokemon like Zoroark and Sableye to the game. Now, the next update to the Pokemon MOBA will bring another member of Pokemon's legendaries to the game.Pokemon Unite has often featured members of the franchise's iconic legendary Pokemon in the MOBA, both as playable characters and in-game bosses. Beloved Pokemon like Mew and Hoopa have brought new ways to play to the MOBA, with unique mechanics like Mew's ability to relearn moves and constantly switch up its strategies. Others like Buzzwole have been powerful additions to the game with a major impact on the MOBA's competitive meta. Now, Urshifu will follow in the trend of past legendaries by bringing a unique playstyle to Pokemon Unite.RELATED: Pokemon Unite Adding New Pokemon, Game Mode, and MorePokemon Unite officially revealed Urshifu as the newest Pokemon to come to the MOBA with the kung fu-focused Pokemon set to join the game on December 1. Much like the legendary's Sword and Shield version, Urshifu in Pokemon Unite will feature multiple different playstyles based on the Pokemon's Single Strike and Rapid Strike styles. While the trailer does not show how players will be able to choose their in-game style, Urshifu is confirmed to feature different Ultimates based on its forms with some other animations also changed.

Urshifu's addition to the Pokemon MOBA will come as part of the kick-off to Pokemon Unite's Winter Holiday Event, featuring plenty of new content. The event is set to feature new challenges on the game's Shivre City map along with a new battle pass offering holiday-themed cosmetics as progression rewards. The Aurora Challenge Event will also bring more chances for players to get in the holiday spirit, offering a festive Stantler-themed headpiece as a reward for Ranked matches and a Glaceon cap during the event.

The Pokemon franchise has set itself up for a busy holiday season between new events in Pokemon Unite and the newest main-series entry. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launched earlier this month to massive success, breaking a Nintendo record with 10 million units sold days after its release. Unite has joined in on the release festivities as well with a collaboration with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet offering exclusive cosmetics in Unite for a limited time. Urshifu's addition to Pokemon Unite will bring a unique new playstyle to the MOBA when it releases tomorrow.
