It's almost been an entire year since The Pokemon Company first announced that a brand-new online multiplayer Pokemon title is in development for the Switch and mobile devices. Pokemon Unite is a strategic team battle game where players can work together with other Pokemon trainers to defeat the opposing team. Players will be able to choose a Pokemon and then catch other Pokemon on the arena and then evolve their own critters to get stronger and stronger.

Recently, there was a closed beta for Pokemon Unite that was available in China for select players, which kicked off this month, allowing them to try out the upcoming MOBA for themselves. Some early images of the game have been leaked, courtesy of Spanish Pokemon fansite, Centro Pokemon, and the screenshots show off a feature that Pokemon fans might be very excited about.

The Pokemon Unite leaked images reveal that the game will have lots of different skins to purchase in the in-game shop with some type of unknown currency. There's a Cinderace with an adorable pirate costume; Lucario has a very cool cape and hat; Mr. Mime has a golden yellow-colored suit to give the Pokemon a more royal design, and there's also a Garchomp with a vacation costume that even has snorkeling gear.

If these costumes are any indication of how the final product will look, Pokemon fans everywhere will have a lot to look forward to when it comes to dressing up their Pokemon in wacky downloadable skins.

Pokemon Unite is currently in development for Mobile devices and Switch.
