As the latest entry in the franchise, Pokemon Unite provides players with an interesting twist on the iconic Pokemon battle. It comes in the form of a MOBA, pitting two teams of five players in control of Pokemon against each other and tasking them with catching the other team's goals.

MOBAs have a long and extensive history of being released on PC, such as League of Legends or Smite. However, more recent entries in the genre have leaned towards mobile releases, such as Vainglory or Arena of Valor. Pokemon Unite was released first on the Nintendo Switch with plans to hit mobile devices in the future, leaving MOBA fans questioning if Pokemon Unite is coming to PC.

Unfortunately, for PC-exclusive MOBA gamers, Pokemon Unite is not releasing on PC. Even though Pokemon Unite is free for anyone looking to play it, there currently aren't any plans for the game to release on any platforms aside from those already announced. That doesn't mean that it'll never hit PCs at some point, though it would seem that for now, Pokemon Unite is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices only.

To be fair, this is a great excuse for an upgrade. Those that don't want to run their mobile devices into the ground might find that now is the perfect time to invest in a more efficient portable console. The Switch has been absolutely dominating July 2021 new game releases, including Monster Hunter Stories 2 and Skyward Sword HD. With Pokemon Unite joining the line-up, it would be the opportune moment to officially join the Nintendo family.

On the other hand, computer-savvy Pokemon Unite fans may have an out. Technically, there is a workaround that would circumvent the need for a Switch. For fans who aren't eager to buy the console nor restrict themselves to a small screen, there are always emulators like Bluestacks or Nox. These are commonly used to emulate Android OS and can run with minimal setup on most computers. Once Unite releases for mobile devices, it would be as simple as downloading the app within the emulator and running it on the PC.

Either way, avid Pokemon Unite fans intending to decide one of the two above better act fast. There're a lot of Pokemon to unlock, and it'll take quite a bit of time to unlock all of them without spending a few dollars on microtransactions.

Pokemon Unite is now available for Nintendo Switch and will launch later for Mobile.
