This July has been the one-year anniversary of Pokemon Unite. As part of this big birthday for the game, six new Pokemon and a new battle type are being released. Glaceon, Buzzwole, and Tyranitar have been announced so far, and the second wave is coming in September. A new quick battle called Boss Rush is coming, and more holoware is being released.

Buzzwole Release Date and Time
Buzzwole is coming to Pokemon Unite on August 3. This release will be on iOS, Android, and the Nintendo Switch. This will be the second Bug-type Pokemon to be playable (next to Crustle).
Glaceon's release time happened at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET / 7 AM UTC on its launch day, so players should expect the same for Buzzwole.
Not much is known yet about Buzzwole's playstyle or moveset yet, but fans have some theories. One clip from the trailer shows what looks like an HP draining move, so Buzzwole may very likely have the move Leech Life. Fans also think Buzzwole will have a playstyle similar to Lucario or Garchomp, as it is known to be a Pokemon with a high physical Attack stat.
As for how to obtain Buzzwole once the Pokemon is released, it is likely players can earn Buzzwole for free while the anniversary event is occurring (though this is yet to be confirmed). Typically, Pokemon aren't given away for free; a Pokemon costs 12 thousand coins or 575 gems from the game store.

According to a Pokemon Unite leak, Buzzwole's abilities will likely have area-of-effect damage. It may have moves like Fell Stinger, Smack Down, Lunge, and Mega Punch. Its basic attack may also have an Attack stat boost with every third hit. The addition of an Ultra Beast has also made fans wonder if more Ultra Beasts will be added later or even as soon as the second patch of releases in September.
In the main games, Buzzwole's strongest states are Attack and Defense, while its lowest states are Special Attack and Special Defense. It also typically has a higher HP stat than Speed stat. They are resistant to Fighting, Grass, Dark, Ground, and Bug types and are weak against Fire, Psychic, Fairy, and Flying-types.
