The buff and robust Machamp is a Generation I pocket monster that has existed in the Pokemon franchise since its inception in the early 1990s. In every main series game and spin-off title where they have made an appearance, Machamp and its prior forms, Machop and Machoke, have been characters of formidable physical strength.
The same is true for this Fighting-type evolutionary line in the MOBA game Pokemon Unite, however, interestingly, Machamp takes the role of an All-Rounder despite having legendary combat prowess. How To Use The Machamp High Critical Hit Build Effectively
As both of the moves in this build grant higher potential for critical hits, a simple first step for success would be to make sure Machamp is holding a Scope Lens, as this Held Item will increase both the chance of unleashing a critical hit as well as how much damage said attacks do to enemies.
Cross Chop by itself is a move that does moderate damage to foes, however, its secondary effect of increasing the chances of critical hits makes Cross Chop a must-have for those wishing to unleash as many of these proportionately more powerful strikes as possible.
The other move of this build, Submission, is a bit of an anomaly in Pokemon Unite as it hits like a delayed grab, moves like a dash, but is classified as a hindrance due to its ability to stop foes dead in their tracks. Firstly, this move increases Machamp’s movement speed and gives the player immunity to enemy hindrances for a short time. However, when Machamp uses a basic attack after Submission, they will perform a strong slam that will stun foes in an area of effect briefly while also increasing the user’s critical hit chance.

How To Use The Machamp Frontal Assault Build Effectively
Attacking the enemy as often as possible is ideal for this build, however, don’t overextend, as getting singled out by multiple enemies will mean getting knocked out and giving the foes some easy Exp and points with which to score. Stick with a teammate or two for coordinated assaults that will allow Machamp to dish out a ton of damage without getting taken down too quickly.
While both moves of this build are very straightforward in their usage, there are better times to use them than others. Dynamic Punch, being a powerful dash-type move, allows Machamp to leap up into the air before smashing the ground in a small AoE attack that will stun them for a short time. This move also buffs the player, granting them immunity to hindrances for little while in addition to higher movement speed, faster basic attack speed, and even turns the next basic attack into a boosted one. As it is a great damage-dealing move that can lockdown enemies as well as buff the user, many players consider Dynamic Punch to be Machamp’s best move.
Close Combat is also very easy to use and is even better than the version that Lucario possesses, as players using Machamp can still walk around slowly while unleashing this barrage of fists. Like many of this pokemon’s other moves, it also grants the user immunity to hindrances for a few moments. Furthermore, Close Combat can be upgraded to deal bonus damage to targets afflicted with a status ailment, making it a great way to finish off foes weakened by an ally’s attack.

At first, this Unite Move is a simple buff that increases Machamp’s Attack, Defense, Special Defense, and movement speed for a short time, however, if used again, it will unleash a series of powerful punches that is very much like a more powerful version of Close Combat. This is best used to shove one or more foes while powering up for the coming confrontation with them.
About Machamp’s Ability - Guts
This great ability lets Machamp turn the tables on foes who afflict them with status ailments, as, when under the effects of such an enemy assault, Machamp will have their Attack stat boosted noticeably. As such, this makes players using this All-Rounder great frontline fighters who can act as the spearhead of their team’s offensive maneuvers.
