Since the Pokemon franchise is so popular, it has a lot of merchandise available for fans and the general public to buy. This includes Pokemon plush toys, backpacks, and many more items based on the Pokemon franchise on top of the trading cards and collectible Takara Tomy action figures that resemble the Pokemon themselves.

With all of this merchandise, many Pokemon fans have been able to use the collectibles to make their own fan videos and animations. A recent fan shared a live-action video they made on Reddit that's titled "The world of Pokemon featuring our vintage Tomy figures." As the title suggests, the video uses plenty of Takara Tomy Pokemon action figures as stand-ins for the Pokemon.

The live-action video was made by Reddit user Jake44434 and posted in the Pokemon subreddit a couple of days ago. The video is a little over a minute, but it makes good use of that time to set itself up as an opening in a documentary style about exploring the world of Pokemon. The video is narrated by a character in the video named "Professor Owen," not to be confused with the character Professor Rowan from the franchise. The video has a light-hearted and comical tone to it as it shows off various Pokemon figures with some humor here and there.

The video features plenty of different Pokemon from the different regions in the video games. Some of the first figures shown in the video include the Pokemon Feraligatr, Wooper, Tauros, Empoleon, Torterra, Rhyhorn, and many others. There are figures in the background that Pokemon fans will be able to see, such as an Ekans, Totodile, Pidgeotto, and others. Viewers can even see figures of popular legendary Pokemon like Entei, Raikou, and Suicune, among several others fans will undoubtedly recognize.

The video uses a variety of real-life locations and special effects for the Pokemon abilities, attacks, and movements used with the figures. Jake44434 even uses the sound effects the Pokemon have in the video games. The general reception to the video was largely positive as commenters enjoyed it. Plenty of them enjoyed seeing some of their favorite Pokemon Tomy figures.

Jake44434 also added that the video in the post is actually a small part of a larger video that's part of a Pokemon fan video series called Lego Pokemon on the YouTube channel bespingaurdstudios. Some longtime fans of the series even showed up in the Reddit post's comment section to congratulate the user on the latest video. Jake44434 provided a link to the YouTube channel in the comment section, which has the full video and the rest of the Pokemon fan series to check out.
