Pokemon Sleep is officially out, and players are already enjoying the latest release from Niantic. The game took over two years to release, so clearly, the developers wanted to make sure that the project wouldn't have any glaring flaws. Pokemon Sleep does not have to be competitive because it does not require players to actively participate in raids or any other activities. It is a game that can be enjoyed for a few minutes every single day without any pressure. The best thing about the game is that players can progress by sleeping.

It requires access to the phone's microphone, which enables it to analyze the sleep style of an individual. Even though the game can be played for free, Niantic hasn't shied away from including a Premium Pass in the game, but is it really worth it?

Premium Pass Benefits

Players will have the Regular Pass unlocked by default, which grants them access to the Regular Exchange in Shops. The Premium Pass, on the other hand, costs $10 for a month or $50 for six months. Thankfully, Niantic has put in a 14-day trial, which will allow Pokemon Sleep players to see the perks of Premium Pass firsthand.

In order to make things easier for players, here are all the bonuses associated with the Premium Pass:

  • View unlimited sleep data records and statistics (regular pass only gives access to the last 30 days).
  • Daily Bonus Biscuit upgraded to a Premium Bonus Biscuit.
  • Receive 100 bonus sleep points each day that players track sleep.
  • Gain access to the Premium Exchange for exchanging sleep points.
  • Monthly gifts of a Good Camp Ticket and 1,000 sleep points.
  • Additional lavish rewards every three months, which include Handy Candy L, a Sub Skill Seed, and a Dream Cluster M (no-cost trial does not count toward the subscription streak).
  • Unlock a diary where players can write notes on their sleep.

All these bonuses are extremely appealing, but the most important one is being able to add sleep data manually. This can only be done by Premium Pass subscribers, and it can come in handy if they forget to track a session, which could cause the streak to break. Even if players overlook the other benefits, this one is hard to ignore and might be reason enough for many people to purchase the Premium Pass.

Is It Worth It?

Keeping in mind all the perks at a cost of $10, the Premium Pass is worth it. However, players are still advised to try out the free trial to see whether they really need it. As previously stated, it is suited for those who are competitive and want to stay ahead of their friends.

Players will have to manually cancel the free trial before it ends in order to avoid any deductions.

Pokemon Sleep is now available on iOS and Android.
