Pokemon Sleep has been out for a little over two weeks now, and in that short time, the game has amassed a solid player base. If Niantic handles the game in the right manner, it should keep growing and improving. Pokemon Sleep mainly revolves around players and their sleep. Many consider it a better alternative to the other Pokemon games, which require a heavy investment of time.

The game is not perfect, but it is still fun. When Pokemon Sleep players start the game for the very first time, they will be sent to a particular island for research. However, not many players know that they can actually visit a total of four islands.

Greengrass Isle

  • The largest island in the region, known for its fertile land covered with greenery. It hosts the greatest variety of Pokemon.
  • Requirement: None

Greengrass Isle is the first island where players will be sent to catch Pokemon. It is the only island that players don't need to do anything to unlock. They can simply boot up Pokemon Sleep and start playing. Players can also see the Research Progress and Area Dex for Greengrass Isle by going to Main Menu -> Map and then clicking on the island. They can also see the Strength Record, which is just below the name of the location. It has the most Pokemon out of all the islands.

Cyan Beach

  • The shore of fine white sand stretches to the horizon, kissed by a gentle sea breeze. Many Water-type Pokemon live here.
  • Unlock requirement: Register 20 Sleep Styles.

Cyan Beach is the island right next to Greengrass Isle. Its main attraction is the Water-type Pokemon, which some players may find appealing. However, it does not have nearly as many Pokemon as the previous island. In order to access the island, players have to register 20 Sleep Styles, which should be rather easy. Players will also find a green Snorlax, which is not a shiny.

It is better to stay on Greengrass Isle for an additional week rather than move to Cyan Beach immediately.

Taupe Hollow

  • Shafts of sunlight pour through the open ceiling to light up the cavern walls. Rock- and Ground-type Pokémon love it here.
  • Unlock requirement: Register 70 Sleep Styles

Taupe Hollow is a haven for Rock and Ground-type Pokemon, so players who adore the two types should head over to the island once they unlock it.

Snowdrop Tundra

  • Gorgeous flowers bloom in this freezing tundra, despite the unrelenting snowfall. Many Ice-type Pokémon can be found here.
  • Unlock requirement: Register 150 Sleep Styles.

It is the fourth and final island that players can explore in Pokemon Sleep. Snowdrop Tundra requires 150 Sleep Styles to unlock, and it is fair to say that it will be a while before players can start their research on this island.

Players can travel from one island to another in the middle of the week using the E-Zzz Travel ticket. It costs 150 diamonds and can be found under the Items section in the General Store.

Pokemon Sleep is now available on iOS and Android.
