Ever since the start of the Pokemon franchise with Red and Blue, there have been version exclusives, mostly pertaining to the kinds of Pokemon that players can catch. This tradition continues with the releases of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl on the Switch, remakes of the original Gen 4 DS titles. There are a total of 37 Pokemon that are exclusive to the Shining Pearl version that Brilliant Diamond players cannot get unless they trade with friends that own the opposite game.

This guide will go over all of the version exclusives in Pokemon Shining Pearl, ad we'll as how to obtain each of the Pokemon throughout the Sinnoh region.
