Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have announced a new event with Palkia and Dialga Tera Raids that will take place from December 8 to 21. In the Tera Raids, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players face raid bosses ranging from 1 to 7 stars. To add an extra layer of challenge, trainers must defeat the legendary Pokemon within a time limit.
This year's Tera Raids featured a variety of Pokemon for players. Most recently, Hisuian Samurott was featured. The event concluded the crossover with Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which brought Hisuian Decidueye raids in October, and Hisuian Typhlosion raids in November. The year may be starting to wrap up, but Pokemon Scarlet and Violet still have updates for players.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have announced Tera Raids featuring Dragon Tera Type Palkia and Dialga that will take place from December 8 at 00:00 UTC to December 21 at 23:59 UTC. In this event, trainers will encounter Gen 4 legendary Pokemon in 5-star Tera Raids, and it will only be possible to capture one per save file. Another important detail is that Pokemon Scarlet players will see Dialga, while Palkia will only appear for Pokemon Violet trainers. It is currently unknown what their move set will be or what rewards will be available during the event.

Palkia and Dialga are the legendaries of Sinnoh, and form the region's trio along with Giratina. It's worth noting that neither Pokemon can be found in the wild, so this event is a golden chance for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players. With the announcement of the Dragon-type duo's Tera Raids, players have expressed their hope of seeing Giratina in future Tera Raids. This would be another exceptional opportunity, because Giratina is available in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet only if transferred from Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
