A Pokemon fan recently created a shiny version of the new Rock-type Pokemon Klawf from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will apparently feature over 100 new Pokemon when they launch later this year, though Game Freak, Nintendo, and The Pokemon Company are keeping most of the newcomers secret. New Pokemon have been slowly revealed for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet in the months leading up to the games' release, with one of the more recent new Pokemon being Rock-type Klawf.

Klawf is the latest in a long line of Pokemon based on crabs, though it stands out for being a Rock-type instead of the typical Water-type. Known as the "Ambush Pokemon," Klawf is introducing a brand-new ability to the franchise called Anger Shell. Klawf's Anger Shell ability makes it so that once the Pokemon loses half of its health in battle, it becomes angry. This impacts Klawf's stats by lowering its Defense and Special Defense, but increases its Attack, Special Attack, and Speed stats.

Klawf will presumably have a shiny variant in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, though it has yet to be revealed. In fact, none of the shiny variants have been revealed for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to date, so fans have taken matters into their own hands, creating fan art that imagine what these shiny Pokemon might look like. One such fan is Reddit user Osmiooo, who created their take on what a shiny Klawf could look like in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Osmiooo's interpretation of shiny Klawf sees the Pokemon lose its orange coloring in favor of a new gray look. This is to make Klawf look like a regular stone, which would help it camouflage itself and fit in with its Ambush Pokemon theme. It's possible that the real shiny for Klawf will use a similar color scheme, but it's also possible that it will look completely different. It's unlikely that the shiny variants will be revealed for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet ahead of launch, so fans will likely have to wait to play the games for themselves to find out what Klawf's shiny form looks like for sure.

Many of the new Pokemon revealed for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have been received with enthusiasm from the community, and Klawf is no exception. Klawf will have an important role to play in the games, as players will have to confront a Titan Klawf if they hope to complete all of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's storylines.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet launch November 18, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
