The second seven-star Tera Raid Event in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will feature a formidable foe in Cinderace, a fire-type starter native to the Galar region. This event marks the first opportunity players will have to obtain the critter in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as it is not part of Paldea's own pokedex.Within the latest set of Pokemon games, players can team up through multiplayer to take on difficult Tera Raids alongside up to three others, with these bosses offering a host of rare rewards and the opportunity to catch Pokemon with particularly rare Tera-types. Following on from the success of the first Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Charizard Tera Raid event, the second of its kind will also feature a popular fire-type starter - Cinderace.RELATED: New Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Distribution Event Gives Players League PointsThe Cinderace Tera Raid event will run from 00:00 UTC December 30th, through to 23:59 UTC, January 1st, before returning for a second time between January 13th and January 15th. It will feature a seven-star Cinderace with a Tera type of fighting as the raid boss and, much like Charizard, it will possess the 'Mightiest Mark,' meaning it can only be caught once per profile. Players should keep an eye out for a Cinderace with its hidden ability, Libero, and try to catch a female one in order to ensure they can obtain Scorbunny and Raboot through breeding in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The moves and possible drops of Cinderace will likely not be known until the event goes live in the final days of 2022 but, if the Charizard event was anything to go by, players should not expect any extravagant rewards to drop upon defeating the seven-star boss, as the main reward is the ability to catch the rare creature itself. Cinderace is otherwise unobtainable within Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and will definitely make a case for itself as one of the best Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fire types upon its addition to the game.

With the difficulty of the first seven-star Tera Raid Event not being especially high, as many players have been able to solo it after figuring out how to get an Azumarill with Belly Drum, Cinderace will likely not prove much more of a challenge. Rumors are also circulating that its incredibly strong hidden ability, Libero, which previously made it a competitive powerhouse, has been nerfed in the latest set of games and will now only activate once per switch-in. Regardless, players will still be thankful to get their hands on such an elusive Pokemon.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
