Catching the various Legendary Pokemon seen throughout the series has never been considered a simple task by fans of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, yet one fortunate player manages to catch one such fabled Pokemon found in the Paldea region using only a single Quick Ball. The most recent entries to the franchise, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, have introduced several new Legendary Pokemon to the expansive world of Pokemon, allowing Trainers to partner up with some powerful new creatures.

Legendary Pokemon, incredibly powerful and rare Pokemon that are often hugely significant in the Pokemon world and its many stories, have been around for players to track down since the very beginning of the series in Pokemon Red and Blue. Aside from their unmatched stats, awesome forms, and unique moves not seen used by any other Pokemon, these Pokemon are generally known for the immense amount of difficulty associated with catching them. That said, there are tons of different Legendary Pokemon across each of the games, with some of them being far harder to catch than others. While some of these sacred beasts can quickly get players frustrated after forcing them to use dozens of Ultra Balls, certain so-called "box-Legendaries" can allow themselves to be caught with relative ease, with some players often finding Quick Balls to be an effective solution.

One Pokemon fan on Reddit that goes by the username Kirenia_Ayako recently shared the moment that they captured the Legendary Ting-Lu with one such ball in a moment of sheer luck. Although this new Legendary Pokemon is not a box-Legendary, instead representing one of the new Legendaries that players can find in the Paldea region along their journey, the player was able to catch it with ease despite the Pokemon's incredibly low catch rate of 6. While Pokemon that are this resilient would usually need to be substantially weakened in battle before anything else, the use of a Quick Ball bypasses the need for combat thanks to it offering an increased chance depending on how early into a battle it's thrown.

Although some fans contest that it's relatively easy to capture a Legendary Pokemon using a Quick Ball, this is certainly not always the case. The vast majority of Legendary Pokemon are known to have a catch rate of 3, the lowest out of any of the critters, so Quick Balls are never guaranteed to work. Fans should always make sure they have a fighting-fit team packed with paralysis or sleep-inducing moves if they want the best chance at catching Legendary Pokemon.

Fans have been catching these rare Pokemon for well over 2 decades now, and while Legendary Pokemon continue to present a major aspect of the franchise, some fans think it's time that they became a little easier to catch due to the tediousness that can come with the activity. Many others keenly disagree though, arguing that the difficulty is warranted considering how powerful such creatures are.
