Reddit user Cute_Professional561 began an online discussion, inviting responses from fellow Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players about their views regarding the evolutions. They uploaded an image on the social media platform showing the four new evolutions introduced in Scarlet and Violet: Annihilape, Kingambit, Dudunsparce, and Farigiraf. Going by the comments, most Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans admire Annihilape and Kingambit as they like their overall design and animations. Annihilape is a fighting/ ghost-type Pokemon and the final form of Mankey, whereas Kingambit is the final form of Pawniard and a dark/ steel-type Pokemon.

Meanwhile, most Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans had mixed feelings about Farigiraf, the evolutionary form of Girafarig. Some players liked its design, color scheme, and abilities, but many of them wanted to see Farigiraf as a dark/ psychic-type Pokemon. However, the bulk of the criticism was targeted toward Dudunsparce, a normal type Pokemon that evolves from Dunsparce. These Pokemon Scarlet and Violet fans have reservations about everything related to Dudunsparce, including its name and mainly its appearance. They believe the developers didn't put much thought while naming and designing Dudunsparce, as it looks nearly identical to its predecessor. On the other hand, a handful of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players liked Dudunsparce's witty name and appearance.

For those who don't know, Dudunsparce is a serpentine Pokemon that evolves from Dunsparce when it levels up while knowing the Hyper Drill. A fascinating thing about Dudunsparce is that it can exist in two different variants, two-segment and three-segment. The two-segment is more common in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet as there's only a one in a hundred chance that a Dunsparce will evolve into a three-segment Dudunsparce.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now on Nintendo Switch.
