The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk DLC was released recently, and to reward those who are still playing the games, Game Freak is giving away three sets of items. It has been over a year since Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were released. Not long into the games' lives, an expansion pack was announced, and it was revealed that it would be divided into two parts: Teal Mask, released mid-September, and Indigo Disk, released mid-December.

The Teal Mask introduced seven new Pokemon to Scarlet and Violet, and Indigo Disk added another seven. Not only do players get to enjoy the games for a little longer with the expansion, but they are also able to add a total of 14 new Pokemon to their roster.

Some creative Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players come up with a new way to play rock-paper-scissors using only the Punching Pokemon, Hitmonchan.

As if the full release of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC wasn't enough to keep fans entertained, three item distribution events are now live. Fans can claim three codes in order to redeem valuable in-game items that will certainly help them capture and train their Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet. Two codes were included in a weekly newsletter in Japan; subscribers received one of the codes at random, but both have now been revealed, so everyone has access to them. Code SUPEREFFECT1VE will give players an Expert Belt and G0TCHAP0KEM0N will grant 30 Quick Balls. Both codes are available until February 28, 2025. On top of this, 10 TM223, which teach the Metal Sound move, are also being given away via the internet.

According to Serebii, Game Freak has decided to give players Metal Sound TMs since Shieldon is required to craft them, and this is a Pokemon that can only be obtained by gamers who own Pokemon Violet, making it a version-exclusive TM. This TM crafting recipe will be modified in a patch that is supposed to come out in the middle of January, but until then, it will be available as a Mystery Gift.

To claim these Mystery Gifts in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, players have to visit the Poke Portal, select the Mystery Gift option, and then Get via Internet or Get with Code. The Expert Belts and the Quick Balls can only be obtained if the player chooses the latter, but the Metal Sound TMs must be obtained through the internet.
